Maritime Arbitration Clause Sample
Maritime Law Answer Book (2014 Edition)
Book Publication Date:
Arbitration of maritime disputes is governed by the Federal Abitration Act in the United States.
The parties must demonstrate their intention to submit disputes to arbitration in writing.
Although this intention does not need to be shown in an express contractual clause, the Society of Maritime Arbitrators has provided a model clause for that purpose.
That model clause is provided here.
