Internet Domain Name Purchase Agreement
Technology Transactions: A Practical Guide to Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Agreements
Book Publication Date:
The right domain name may be very valuable to an organization and they will want to own it both for their own use and to prevent others from using it.
Domain names may be transferred with a relatively simple purchase agreement such as the sample included here.
In addition to payment terms the agreement provides a series of representations and warranties of both the buyer and seller regarding issues such as registered ownership of and rights to the domain name.
