KEVIN TOTTIS heads up a small commercial and intellectual property litigation boutique in Chicago. He tries cases and argues appeals for foreign and domestic clients throughout the United States and also counsels clients on pre-litigation strategy and litigation avoidance. He opened his law offices in 1996 after several years as a partner in a national law firm. Kevin also frequently speaks and writes on intellectual property issues. For several years, he's been named an Illinois Super Lawyer and a Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent-rated attorney.

Kevin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Intellectual Property Association, where he previously chaired the Association's Copyright Law Committee. He is active in the leadership of a number of other intellectual property bar associations, including the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), where he serves as a member of the U.S. Group's Executive Committee. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Michigan (A.B. 1983, with Distinction and Honors in English; J.D. 1986).

Katie Lachter is the Firm’s associate general counsel. Based in the New York office, Katie counsels the Firm’s lawyers on matters of professional responsibility and cross-jurisdictional and compliance issues in support of the Firm’s commitment to excellent client service.

Katie is also a member of the Law Firm Practice Group and advises lawyers, law firms and in-house legal departments on risk management and the laws and regulations governing lawyers.

Katie is a frequent writer and speaker on issues relating to legal ethics. She is a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School, where she teaches professional responsibility. She is also on the faculty of the Practising Law Institute and She co-authored Risk Management Survival Tools for Law Firms, third edition, published by the ABA Law Practice Division in 2016. She is also the co-author of a chapter entitled "The Practical Case for Civility," in Essential Qualities of the Professional Lawyer, published by the ABA Standing Committee on Professionalism in 2013, and has co-authored numerous articles on ethics and professional responsibility for the New York Law Journal and Bloomberg Law Reports. Katie is a past secretary of the New York City Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics and a current member and former board member of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.

Katie was named a 2012 Distinguished Legal Writing Award winner by the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement. She was also the recipient of the Legal Aid Society’s 2009 Pro Bono Publico award. Katie was designated a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers’ New York Metro edition in 2014, and named a "Super Lawyer" in the 2015 edition.

Tsan Abrahamson’s practice focuses on strategic counseling in the areas of social media, sweepstakes, intellectual property, advertising, trademark clearance, trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing, and other business transactions.  She also manages the adverse proceedings practice at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  Tsan has an extensive practice in the area of marketing promotions, including social media promotions, gift card and gift certificate marketing, print and online sweepstakes, contests, give-aways, warranties, rebates, and coupon promotions.  Tsan completed her undergraduate work at Dartmouth College, and received both her JD and MBA from the UCLA School of Law and The Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Joe has more than thirty years' experience in intellectual property litigation, and taught at Northwestern Law School for more than 20 years.  His publications include a practitioner's Deskbook, now in its seventh edition, and a law school coursebook in its tenth edition, as well as a chapter on the "Use of Experts" in an ABA book on TTAB practice.  He has repeatedly been recognized as a "Leading Lawyer" and "Super Lawyer" in intellectual property litigation.  World Trademark Reporter identified him as "A true expert in the field," and Intellectual Property Today described him as "incredibly well versed in all aspects of trademark law, [with] a string of successes to his name."  He is a Fellow of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Foundation.  Joe regularly speaks on intellectual property topics.
