Anastasia Rivera, Esq., joined CFR as a Litigation Supervisor in February 2011.   Ms. Rivera  is a 1996 graduate of City University of New York School of Law.  In July 1999 she joined ACS as an agency attorney and, later as an Assistant Supervisor.  Upon leaving ACS in 2008, Ms. Rivera, went into the private sector and handled matrimonial work in upstate New York.  Prior to joining CFR, Ms. Rivera was a member of the 18B Panel in Bronx Family Court where she represented parents and children in all Family Court proceedings.   Ms. Rivera received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Pace University.


Paul Savarese, Esq. has been employed by the Administration for Children’s Services (formerly Child Welfare Administration) for the past 27 years.  Paul held the position of Supervising Attorney for the Brooklyn Family Court Legal Services Division from 2000 until 2012.  In 2013, Paul was named as the Executive Counsel for the Legal Support and Training Unit for Family Court Legal Services for the Administration for Children’s Services.  Paul received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton, Cum Laude and received his Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University School of Law.


Nanette Schrandt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Director of Juvenile Services at  the NYC Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice where she oversees the social work staff.   Nanette has more than 35 years of experience as a forensic social worker and trains extensively in the field.  Among other appointments, she has served on the advisory board of the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, NYS Court Appointed Special Advocates, the model Children’s Law Office Project of the National Association of Counsel for Children, as co-chair of the Practicing Law Institute's Children's Law Institute, and  the Contemporary Social Issues Advisory Committee at Columbia University School of Social Work.   She holds an MSW degree from Columbia University and a BA degree from Smith College.
