Victoria A. Coyle is the founder of Leading Legal Practice (“L.L.P.”), which offers integration and training programs for law firm associates. Building on her extensive experience managing associate teams, Victoria Coyle developed a curriculum derived from first-hand knowledge of the current challenges firms face in integrating and managing associates and the tricks of the trade that make for an effective associate.
Prior to forming L.L.P., Victoria was a senior litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. In her practice, she managed large and small teams in all aspects of civil litigation in federal, state and arbitration venues, addressing a variety of issues including securities, intellectual property, contract disputes and M&A litigation. She also advised clients on complex regulatory investigations, interfacing with DOJ and other U.S. regulators. In these matters, Victoria developed extensive management experience, training and mentoring dozens of junior and mid-level associates on the key skills needed for success as a law firm associate.
While practicing at S&C, Victoria also developed and delivered a number of training programs for summer and full-time associates, focusing on associate skills, management development training and substantive litigation issues.
Victoria earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of law in 2008, where she served on the Virginia Law Review. She obtained a B.A. in Philosophy with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004.
