Alicia Ryan works primarily on knowledge management and business analytics initiatives in the firm’s corporate group, including formalizing and expanding the group’s knowledge base and assisting in the implementation of cross-functional projects designed to increase the accessibility of information and expertise within the firm. A key component of her role is to serve as a liaison between practicing attorneys and the firm’s administrative departments in the areas of process improvement and streamlining client service.

Prior to moving into knowledge management, Alicia was a corporate attorney at Fenwick & West and at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP.

Her representative experience as an attorney includes:

  • Representation of public and private companies, as well as investment funds, in domestic and cross-border acquisitions and equity investments
  • Representation of various start-up clients in raising venture funding and in ongoing corporate matters such as commercial contract review, employment issues, review of NDA’s and contractor agreements, and negotiation of credit/loan agreements


Mr. Gerow is resident in the Mountain View office.

Under his direction, Fenwick has deployed over 15,000 secure extranets (also known as "deal" or "data" rooms) for all practice areas, enabling significant efficiencies in attorney-client document and information sharing.

Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Mr. Gerow held a variety of IT and application development roles for Heller Ehrman, Stanford University, and Intel Corporation.

He is also the author of two books, and numerous articles in the areas of collaborative software, applications development and project management.
