Advocating for Veterans: The Basics on VA Benefits, Discharge Upgrades and Veteran Cultural Competency 2013 ( Edition)

Decisions of the VA on benefits may be appealed.
A veteran will file a notice of disagreement with their local VA office, after which they will receive a statement of the case.
If the veteran still wishes to pursue an appeal they will need to submit VA Form 9, appeal to the board of veterans' appeals, included here.
